This might be stating the obvious to a few experienced artists out there, but this is for the benefit of everyone.

I find it surprising that not everyone is aware of the usefulness of the Max function "Reset XForm". So I thought I might demonstrate this point a little better.

Reset XForm does reset the transformation matrix of the selected model/mesh to make them parallel to the world axes (X,Y,Z).

It also affects the scale too. Below is demonstrated in Max on 2 copies of the same model (I just chose a skip);

The result below is in Unreal with the left hand model, without Reset XForm;

The right hand model, with Reset XForm applied and collapsed;

Quite useful when you wish to check the scale of objects for use in Game Engines. It makes a surprising difference.
